Our latest drink menu is called “ORIGIN’AL,” which stands for original drinks and origin Albania. It was created after three years of research around Albania, aiming to find native products, local spirits, and their producers.

By knowing the producers or the collectors, we created an affiliation with the product itself, giving them more spiritual attention and being able to transmit it through our drinks directly to the consumer. After this, we built a lab where we installed modern machines and started experimenting with recipes while researching. This went on for three years until we got to the desired result.

Every single drink in “OriginAl” has its own inspiration point and, therefore, its own dedicated history. The target is to try to re-amplify forgotten Albanian culinary habits and traditions through fine-drinking cocktails. It aims to introduce them not only to the foreign visitors of Albania but also to the newest generations so we never forget.

The most important part of the drinks is being made in the lab with modern machines and techniques in order to sustain consistency. By being able to use more local ingredients in our drink list, we manage to help the Albanian rural economy and also increase our sustainability level as a bar.

Named after it’s smooth aroma and delicate flavour, just like the flower.

Made with an eau de vie that “we” call blackberry Raki from Kukës region, gives us the opportunity to play with ingredients that foodpair with each other such as: bacon fat, red apples and flavourful spices.

An inspiration that defines the unconsciousness as the creator.

This is Poppy ❤️

red apples, paprika, vanilla, bacon, blackberry raki, tequila

Imagine as if you are driving on the highway somewhere in Tuscany and suddenly an exit to northern Albania appears. This is how we’ve fantasized this drink, a route that starts in Italy and ends in our beautiful northern region.

We picked a Kallmet variety and highlighted it with forest fruits from the north to create the deviation, then topped it up with a little delicatessen to constantly keep in mind how guests were being hosted in the past.

DEVIATED NEGRONI

fortified kallmet, bitter, juniper raki

A name that represents the whole concept. “Seasonless” stands for preserving memories, feelings, aromas, yellow, the sun, and reminisce them whenever needed.

The Mimosa flower which appears during spring everywhere in the city of Tirana is hand collected and treated to give a floral boost to the drink.

Seasonless

mimosa flower, coriander, white chocolate, prosecco, vodka

Here’s the point. We aimed to have a superstar spirit that stands out by itself, showing once again that Albania has some excellent products.

Using a pear eau de vie alongside an elderflower liqueur and other strong elements we created a powerful flavor profile cocktail, but at the same time shy, due to its milk wash technique.

Nou Whey

hazelnut milk, tonka bean, cocoa, elderflower, pear raki

Achieved by re-distilling under vacuum muscat raki with turkish coffee. Resulted as a surprising high end drink with a soft body, a complex aroma and a deep memorial flavor.

BLACK SABAH

turkish coffee, toasted corns, honey, spices, muscat raki, rum

This is the definition of Nouvelle Vague’s signature cocktails. It is the drink that has been served since day one…the drink that we want to welcome our guests with and create a sensation between the past and the future.

This drink is Our storyteller.

Nu Fashion

Ginger, lime, bitters, blended vermouth, rye n’ bourbon

A drink inspired by nature all around us, the goods we claim of it and the invention of ways and techniques for their usage.

On this occasion, the protagonist is honey and its derivative products such as bee pollen. We use it alongside a raki from the “pulse” variety of Berat and adapt its serving to the hosts’ welcoming spirit of houses around Albania. Lastly, we add our professional touch to the drinking context.

DRUNK BEE

bee pollen, apple biscuit, vermouth, amaretto, orange liqueur, puls Berati raki

When asked how much effort you put into it, they say it doesn’t matter, but it needs a lot of heart.

Mezcal, an absolute star, is combined with Middle Eastern spices and chestnut honey produced in Tropojë(north Albania) which gives a sweet fragrance to this twist on the classic Margarita…

ORIENT’AL
chestnut honey, fajitas mix, lime, orange liqueur, buttered tequila, mezcal

The English Climber is inspired by an era filled with hardships and poverty, which resulted in the creation of some unique culinary habits who led to ethnic traditions.🇦🇱

During the communist regime, drinking mountain tea with sugar and bread was considered a full meal. The tea, naturally grown, could be found anywhere and bread was the cheapest product to be provided.☺️

What we try to achieve here is to re-deliver this old culinary tradition, carved with today’s reality. For those who reminisce, and the rest of us that have to learn.

Measured on the fine drinking concept and adapted to the present reality of consumption, this drink offers a unique experience and awakes a dusted memory.

Inspired by the restaurant which makes us proud for operating in our city “mullixhiu” and by it’s exceptional chef and owner Bledar Kola , “THE MILLER” represents the perfect pair between the balkans and the rest of the world.

Built upon boza which is a fermented corn beverage common in The Balkans, this drink has a complex yet perfectly balanced flavor, a rich body and fine taste. It reveals how you can take a local traditional product and highlight it through the fine drinking concept.

THE MILLER

boza, bitter orange, pineapple, lillet blanc, spiced rum, choco bitters, bourbon

One of our best sellers since day one.

Still serving it to our visitors, so we can show them a little about Nouvelle Vague’s heritage and also to our regulars because they just love it.

In the aftermath, just a few details were retouched to highlight the tropical notes of the drink

C’est rum

Pineapple, passion fruit, choco bitters, lime, blend of rums
