One of the World's 50 Best Bars and a temple of Milanese cocktail culture. 1930's visit to Nouvelle Vague was a night of exceptional refinement — aperitivo tradition meets Tirana's nightlife.

In 2012, the two brothers, Sofokli and Evis Cali, came up with a project, a concept, an idea, and a spirit. Nouvelle Vague's trip has led to another four venues and a cocktail van, six new partners — three of whom come from the Nouvelle team — 40 associates, and a biiiig family with countless members.
It has created four signature cocktail menus, with the last one being the superstar of them all, "ORIGIN'AL." It has delivered endless nights with good vibes, played countless hours of music, mixed and served hundreds of thousands of drinks — and has always focused on making the people happy.
Nouvelle Vague has been and will be the most unique cocktail bar out there, always trying to be a key contributor to the Tirana bar scene, Tirana nightlife, and the Albanian hospitality industry. Blessed we are!
Nouvelle Vague was born as a memory from the future. It is a derivative of Sofokli's and Evi's first venture, BOSSA NOVA, a cocktail beach bar back in 2009 — built next to the waves and upon the sand. "BOSSA NOVA" in Portuguese stands for "NEW WAVE."
After the first successful year, the boys started dreaming of a future venue in the capital of Albania — another "NEW WAVE," but this time in its urban version. Before the project, the business plan, and before finding the venue itself, they had built it all in their imagination. They named it "NOUVELLE VAGUE."
NOUVELLE VAGUE opened its doors for the very first time on December 22, 2012. With a limited budget, an unfinished interior, a half-built exterior, and a bar equipped just enough for lovely drinks — but with love, passion, and total dedication — we started serving drinks, sharing vibes, and making people happy.
We treat the team like gifted individuals. We respect their personalities, but we are still strict in the performance asked.
Performance — In our industry, we consider the ability to make your visitor the most comfortable and happiest they can be, while keeping your professionalism not amplified towards them.
4 new venues and a cocktail van. 6 new partners — of which 3 come from the Nouvelle Vague team: Pano, Mimi, Dori, Rube, Danier, and Truman.
All these have created a movement in the city — offering everything from fine drinking experiences to ultramodern techno festivals and weekend cocktail events. Our small family has grown into a huge community spanning different generations, all trusting us and believing in what we do.

TIRANA COCKTAIL FEST #1
The first-ever Tirana Cocktail Festival — co-organized by Nouvelle Vague — brought 5 world-class bars to the Albanian capital for a landmark celebration of craft cocktail culture.
INTERNATIONAL GUEST APPEARANCES
Members of the Nouvelle Vague team have appeared as guest bartenders at top bars across Athens, Rome, Barcelona, and beyond — carrying the ORIGIN'AL spirit wherever they go.
WORLD'S 50 BEST BARS
Nouvelle Vague's inclusion at #86 on the World's 50 Best Bars extended list in 2023 marked a watershed moment — placing Albanian cocktail culture firmly on the global map.
